Using a partnership model, YLI works closely with community foundations, local government, and community-based organizations to establish youth philanthropy initiatives across the country. In this role, we act as a convener, trainer, and strategic consultant, building the capacity of local community foundations and other institutions to sustain high-quality youth philanthropy efforts.
YLI offers the following services to startup, sustain and even strengthen existing philanthropy programs:
- Program design, planning, implementation and evaluation;
- Development of curricula for youth and adult grantmakers;
- Consultation in the design of external philanthropy materials;
- Request-for-proposal development and youth grantseeker workbooks; and
- Training and consulting services.
All of these elements and components, when combined into youth philanthropy programs, can create successful community outcomes.
