communities mobilizing for change on alcohol (CMCA)
Young people in CMCA lead community coalitions
that address youth alcohol access by changing community policies (laws, ordinances)
and practices. It is an approach that has been proven effective in communities
nationwide, and YLI is working to help implement CMCA programs nationally
through training and support services offered by its National
Training Institute. YLI
also coordinates its own CMCA program in partnership with the Marin County
Department
of Health
and
Human
Services
to
implement CMCA
in three
parts
of
the county:
Novato,
the Canal section of San Rafael and Southern Marin. Click
